Traditional Irish Culture - Music, Song and Dance:
Many live traditional music sessions featuring local musicians and singers take place in a variety of venues in the Corca Dhuibhne Gaeltacht and in nearby Daingean Uí Chúis/Dingle town. Kruger’s Pub in Dún Chaoin, one such venue during the summer, is a short walking distance from the house.

Trips to The Blasket Island:
An hourly licensed ferry operates, weather and sea conditions permitting, from Dún Chaoin harbour (close to the house) throughout the summer.

Walking:
Go hill walking on Sliabh an Iolair (Mount Eagle) or on Cnoc Mháirtín (Martin's Hill), - both are accessed from adjacent to the house. Take on Ireland's second highest mountain - Sliabh Bhréanainn (Mount Brandon) which you can access from the town land of Bóthar near 'Gallarus' in An Mhuiríoch.

Enjoy a variety of other interesting approved walks on the Kerry Way, including Dún Chaoin, Ceann Sléibhe (Slea Head), An Clasacht (the road where the house is), Baile an Fheirtéaraigh (Ballyferriter) and Ceann Trá (Ventry) to name just a few.

Beaches:
Enjoy your choice of sandy and safe beaches including Coimín’ eol, Clogher Strand, Ceann Trá (Ventry), and Cuan Smerick (Smerwick Harbour in Ballyferriter. 

Heritage Facilities:
Dún Chaoin is home to the magnificent Blasket Heritage Centre featuring literature, history, images, films, artifacts and experts on the cultural and literary rich Blasket islands.

Fahan, past Ceann Sléibhe (Slea Head) on the east side of Sliabh an Iolair is home to a prehistoric stone fort, called Dún Beag. Bóthar in An Mhuiríoch in the Corca Dhuibhne Gaeltacht (the Dingle Peninsula) is home to the majestic and magnificent early Christian stone church, called 'Gallarus'.
